the letting go

"If you love something, set it free; if it comes backs it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was." Richard Bach

Sometimes you just have to let stuff go. I am in a bit of mourning over here after letting go two campaign nightstands. They were snatched up as fast as I could get them last Spring. But I quickly learned they were not the right size for what I wanted them for. And so they sat in my garage waiting for a plan and some love. I even started to prep them. And then I finally came up with the plan to use them in my office. But it was not to be. For now we have a queen mattress residing in our office slash guest room. It looks ridiculous by the way. But, we gotta use what we got.

Yesterday I bid farewell to my lovely little campaigns. The only campaign furniture I've ever owned. But if it is meant to be maybe another will come back to me. I can only take comfort in the fact that I know they are going to a good home. A home that I can someday visit I'm sure.

My husband has never been more proud.

Let's have a moment of silence.........

Around these parts we are selling all my garage furniture. The fun part is that I am using my craigslist earnings to fund my 30 by 30 project. Which is well on it's way over here. I have at least 2 to show you tomorrow. And the weather is supposed to clear up for some good painting next week. I was getting worried for a minute there. So lots of fun happening at my house. Even if some selling is harder than the others.

And no I'm not really this dramatic. Oh and I know you are reading this, cute girl who I won't name that bought my nightstands and I expect pictures when they are done :)

  1. I feel your pain....my husband brought an ENTIRE bedroom set of campaign furniture into our marriage and we got rid of it! If I could only have it now!!! You will get another piece that will rock that room and make you smile, do not worry! :)
