inspiration friday

I am digging the color trends for fall 2012. So colorful but totally timeless as well.

And I am obsessed with this room. Love it!

I would do just about anything for these white cabinets. Seriously try me.

Kirsten did an amazing job on her son Jett's room

But my favorite thing is easily the way she painted the inside of the frames in her diy cloud art. It's total genius and I will be copying it soon.

I hope you are as inspired as I am. Have a great weekend!

perfect and unavailable

Don't you hate that? So in love with this throw from Dash and Albert. I had big plans for it in a nursery I'm working on until I read it won't be in stock until October.

Such a tease.

friday thoughts

I cannot believe this week is already coming to an end! It has been a really good one at our house. I have got to say that the chore charts have been working swimmingly. And I'm pretty sure that it's the smoothest, cleanest week we've had and that is with school out. All I needed to do was go on a weekend organizing rampage and ask my kids for help. Phew! It feels like a giant victory at my house.

I have also been busy reupholstering a chair {it will be awesome by the way}. And making and planning out a bulletin, magnet board, art display and chalkboard for the playroom. Getting some art matted and framed. And dancing around a lot with my kids. All very fulfilling!

In other news, I found this AMAZING new to me food blog, The Fit Cook. I love the simple, healthy recipes. You must visit! Isn't she gorgeous too! And the first two recipes I looked at, I already had all I needed to make them. Score!

For years and years I have wanted a trailer. In fact, I asked my parents to sell our house and buy a motor home when I was little. But lately I have been wanting one just for fun! My husband thinks I'm crazy. But seriously, they rock!

I want one

Did anyone else get a free Dwell magazine in the mail or was it just a random stroke of luck?

And I cannot decide on little horizontal stripes

or little vertical stripes

I cannot decide mostly because it also comes with a very complicated installation. I am a little nervous about it truthfully. What are your thoughts...please!?

And that is what I am thinking about this week! Have a lovely weekend!

friday thoughts 3.16.12

Well, I'm feeling the 30 by 30 pressure but in a totally good way. I'm excited to get all these projects tackled. I still have about 3 projects to think up before the big day. 29 days to go! And because I like accountability, I'm going to tell you what the last project will be...ME! I have been working on eating well and working out. My baby turns 2 just three days before I turn 30. So I decided it was time to crank it up a notch. I've been doing pretty well and I will post my weight loss as project 30. Definitely something I've been working very hard on. So hopefully I can stick it out and show you my awesome results.

I'm also feeling the LOVE! Thank you to all my new followers. These last few weeks have been full of comments and more blog views than ever and I really appreciate you coming to see me over here. THANK YOU!

I also got awarded with a Liebster Blog Award from Debbie over at Visual Eye Candy!

The liebster award is given from a fellow blogger to a blog they see as up and coming. Blogs with less than 200 followers. Leibster is German for dearest, beloved and can mean favorite. I am so thrilled to have been picked for this. Tune in tomorrow for my 5 picks for this award.

I have sick littles today so I am going to go show them the love. Nothing serious, but enough to make them extra cuddly and a little more needy. I'll take it and get some extra snuggles in. And hopefully some laundry too :)

Have a great day!

friday thoughts 3.9.12

What a good week! Oh but I am looking forward to the weekend!

My house has been spotless this week. During nap times I was able to do a quick sweep and get my workouts in. I even fit in a project or two and almost finished a room design. Homework was done and quality time was spent. I was starting to feel pretty good about myself until I realized that I hadn't touched the laundry in well over a week. Hmmm. Oh well, a laundry marathon has commenced and now my house is messy again. You cannot do it all. Maybe you can. But I can't.

If you can, please let me know how!

I am going to a good old fashioned dance competition with one of my best friends this weekend. It will be like the good old days. It has been so long and I am super excited! Also on the list: cleaning the car out {can this be one of my 30 by 30 projects? No. Please?},donating a few boxes and prepping for my 30 by 30!

Very exciting! What are you doing this weekend?

friday thoughts

I am really looking forward to this weekend. We neeeeeed a good weekend over here. We are going to set up a tent in the loft and have some family movie time. And maybe if we all play our cards right we will finally get that garage reorganized and rehang some curtains pulled down by little hands {then I will show you a few pictures I have been waiting to share}.
If you like to leave comments on blogs you shouldn't be a no-reply blogger. Are you? If you are here are easy to follow instructions on how to change it. And then hopefully I can reply to all of your comments. Sometimes I reply and do not notice that it was to a no-reply email. I couldn't remember how I fixed mine, so let Dandee tell you :)
And I also wanted to share this fab find I came across tonight. Man, I miss living 20 minutes from an Ikea. But, next time I am near one I am going to be all over this striped throw. Twenty bucks, come on!
Please don't buy them all out before I get to one.

friday thoughts

I really had a wonderful week! Not to say that I'm not looking forward to a wonderful weekend. My mind has been racing with plans and fun. I'm super inspired and motivated, always a great feeling. I thought I'd leave you with a few of the things I've been thinking about

First of all, does anyone else have 6th Street withdrawals? I'm sure it isn't just me. Hope you feel better soon Kirsten!

I really NEED this bedding. My mind has already decorated an entire room around it.

And lastly, I forgot how much I love thrift stores. I mean I knew I did but I haven't been in a long time. It's hard to thrift when you are missing a car during the day. Last night, I had the urge to go to my favorite place and it was like it was saving all these goodies for me.

I'm sure they will be even prettier in daylight. I got all of this for less than $20. The silver and brass pieces were the most expensive and the candlestick was only 50 cents. And thus renewed my love for thrifting. This was by far my favorite score.

What are your thoughts about lately? Hope you have a happy weekend!
